Commercial Information Circular No. 259/2020

European Union (EU)* : Impending expiry of anti-dumping measures on wire rod originating in the Mainland of China

Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 964/2015 of 16 October 2015, the European Commission published a notice 2020/C 35/03 concerning the impending expiry of the anti-dumping measures on imports of wire rod originating in the Mainland of China. 2.The product concerned is bars and rods, hot-rolled, in irregularly wound coils, of iron, non-alloy steel or alloy steel other than of stainless steel, currently falling within CN codes 7213 10 00, 7213 20 00, 7213 91 10, 7213 91 20, 7213 91 41, 7213 91 49, 7213 91 70, 7213 91 90, 7213 99 10, 7213 99 90, 7227 10 00, 7227 20 00, 7227 90 10, 7227 90 50 and 7227 90 95. Unless a review is initiated in accordance with the procedure set out in the notice, the anti-dumping duty will expire at midnight of 16 October 2020.

3.Definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of the product originating in the Mainland of China has been imposed since 16 October 2015. The current rate of anti-dumping duty is 24% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for one company with individual duty rate at 7.9%).
