Commercial Information Circular No. 859/2019

European Union (EU)* : Initiation of an investigation concerning possible circumvention of anti-dumping measures on certain corrosion resistant steels originating in the Mainland of China and subjection of such imports to registration

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 181/2018 of 14 February 2018, the European Commission (the Commission) has published an implementing regulation to initiate an investigation concerning the possible circumvention of anti-dumping measures imposed on imports of certain corrosion resistant steels originating in the Mainland of China and to make such imports subject to registration.  The regulation is available at

2.All interested parties must make themselves known by contacting the Commission, present their views in writing and submit questionnaire replies or any other information within 37 days from 27 November 2019 and may apply to be heard by the Commission by the same deadline.  Please refer to the regulation for further details. 

3.For traders involved in the exports of the subject product from the Guangdong Province, please contact Li Xuefei, Director of Trade Remedy and Industry Injury Investigation Division under the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, at 8620 3881 6201. The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the province.
