European Union (EU)* : Impending expiry of countervailing measures on certain filament glass fibre products originating in the Mainland of China

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 1083/2014 of 24 December 2014, the European Commission has published a notice concerning the impending expiry of the countervailing measures on imports of certain filament glass fibre products originating in the Mainland of China. 2.Unless a review is initiated in accordance with the procedure set out in the notice, the countervailing duty will expire at midnight of 24 December 2019.

3.Definitive countervailing duty on imports of the product originating in the Mainland of China has been imposed since 24 December 2014. The current rate of countervailing duty is 10.3% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for a number of companies whose individual duty rates from 4.9% to 10.3%).
