Commercial Information Circular No. 944/2018

European Union (EU)* : Imposition of definitive anti-dumping duty on certain pneumatic tyres, new or retreaded, of rubber, of a kind used for buses or lorries, with a load index exceeding 121 originating in the Mainland of China

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 434/2018 of 8 May 2018, the European Commission has published an implementing regulation to impose a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of certain pneumatic tyres, new or retreaded, of rubber, of a kind used for buses or lorries, with a load index exceeding 121 originating in the Mainland of China. The regulation is available at:

2.Salient points of the regulation are set out below -

(a) Product : Certain pneumatic tyres, new or retreaded, of rubber, of a kind used for buses or lorries, with a load index exceeding 121, currently falling within CN codes 4011 20 90 and ex 4012 12 00. These CN codes are given for information only.
(b) Rate of Duty : EUR 61.76 per item (except for a number of companies with individual duty rates from EUR 42.73 per item to EUR 61.76 per item).
(c) Effective Date : 23 October 2018
(d) Duration : 5 years

3.For traders involved in the exports of the subject product from the Guangdong Province, please contact Li Xuefei, Director of Trade Remedy Division under the Fair Trade Bureau of the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, at 8620 3881 6201. The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in Guangdong Province in responding to anti dumping investigations against products from the province.
