Commercial Information Circular No. 884/2018

European Union (EU)* : Impending expiry of anti-dumping and countervailing measures on solar glass originating in the Mainland of China

Further to Commercial Information Circular Nos. 450/2014 and 451/2014 of 15 May 2014, the European Commission has published two notices concerning the impending expiry of the anti-dumping and countervailing measures on imports of solar glass originating in the Mainland of China. 2.Unless a review is initiated in accordance with the procedure set out in the notices, the anti-dumping and countervailing duties will expire at midnight of 15 May 2019.

3.Definitive anti-dumping and countervailing duties on imports of the product originating in the Mainland of China has been imposed since 15 May 2014. The current rate of anti-dumping duty is 67.1% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for a number of companies whose individual duty rates from 17.5% to 75.4%). The current rate of countervailing duty is 17.1% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for a number of companies whose individual duty rates from 3.2% to 17.1%).
