Commercial Information Circular No. 685/2018

European Union (EU)* : Impending expiry of anti-dumping measures on ferro-silicon originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 331/2014 of 11 April 2014, the European Commission has published a notice concerning the impending expiry of the anti-dumping measures on imports of ferro-silicon originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China.  The notice is available at https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/PDF/?uri=CELEX:52018XC0711(01)&from=EN.

2.Unless a review is initiated in accordance with the procedure set out in the notice, the anti-dumping duty will expire at midnight of 11 April 2019.

3.Definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of the product originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China has been imposed since 29 February 2008. The current rate of duty is 31.2% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for two companies whose individual duty rates are 15.6% and 29%).
