European Union (EU)* : Regulation on the Provision of Food Information to Consumers
Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 711/2014 dated 4 August 2014, the European Commission has adopted a Regulation on the provision of food information to consumers regarding the rules for indicating the country of origin or place of provenance of the primary ingredient of a food. The Regulation shall apply on 1 April 2020. Details are set out in Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 2018/775, which can be accessed through the following link:
