European Union (EU)* : Imposition of a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of certain seamless pipes and tubes of iron (other than cast iron) or steel (other than stainless steel), of circular cross section, of an external diameter exceeding 406.4 mm, originating in the Mainland of China
Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 183/2016 of 15 February 2016, the European Commission (the Commission) has published a regulation to impose a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of certain seamless pipes and tubes of iron (other than cast iron) or steel (other than stainless steel), of circular cross section, of an external diameter exceeding 406.4 mm, originating in the Mainland of China. 2.Salient points of the regulation are set out below-

Certain seamless pipes and tubes of iron (other than cast iron) or steel (other than stainless steel), of circular cross section, of an external diameter exceeding 406.4 mm, currently falling within CN codes 7304 19 90, 7304 29 90, 7304 39 98 and 7304 59 99

| (b) Rate of Duty | : |
81.1% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price, before duty (except for a number of companies with individual duty rates from 43.5% to 79.0%)
|
| (c) Effective Date | : | 13 November 2016 (the duty will apply for six months) |
| (d) Collection of Duty | : |
The release for free circulation in the EU of the product shall be subject to the provision of a security deposit equivalent to the amount of the provisional duty
|
| (e) Time Limit for Requests/ Comments | : |
Interested parties may request disclosure of the essential facts and considerations on the basis of which the regulation was adopted, submit their written comments, or request to be heard by the Commission and/or the Hearing Officer within 25 days from 13 November 2016
|
