European Union (EU) * : Imposition and retroactive levy of a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of certain cold-rolled flat steel products originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China
Further to Commercial Information Circulars Nos. 173/2016 of 15 February 2016 and 1185/2015 of 14 December 2015, the European Commission has published two implementing regulations to (i) impose a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of certain cold-rolled flat steel products originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China; and (ii) levy retroactively the definitive anti-dumping duty on such imports registered since 13 December 2015. 2.Salient points of the regulations are set out below-

Flat-rolled products of iron or non-alloy steel, or other alloy steel but excluding of stainless steel, of all widths, cold-rolled (cold-reduced), not clad, plated or coated and not further worked than cold-rolled (cold-reduced), but not including:
currently falling within CN codes ex 7209 15 00, 7209 16 90, 7209 17 90, 7209 18 91, ex 7209 18 99, ex 7209 25 00, 7209 26 90, 7209 27 90, 7209 28 90, 7211 23 30, ex 7211 23 80, ex 7211 29 00, 7225 50 80 and 7226 92 00

(b) Rate of Duty | : |
22.1% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price, before duty (except for a number of companies with individual duty rates at 19.7% or 20.5%)

(c) Effective Date | : |
5 August 2016
|
(d) Rate of Retroactive Duty | : | 16% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price, before duty (except for a number of companies with individual duty rates at 13.7% or 14.5%) |
