Commercial Information Circular No. 347/2016

European Union (EU)* : Impending expiry of anti-dumping measures on imports of certain stainless steel fasteners and parts thereof  originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 26/2012 of 9 January 2012, the European Commission (the Commission) has published a notice concerning the impending expiry of the anti-dumping measures on imports of certain stainless steel fasteners and parts thereof originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China.  The notice can be accessed through the following link :

2.   Unless a review is initiated in accordance with the procedure set out in the notice, the anti-dumping duty will expire at midnight of 8 January 2017.
 
3.     Definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of the product originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China has been imposed since 20 November 2005 at a rate of 27.4% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for two companies with individual duty rates 11.4% and 12.2%).  Consequent to a circumvention investigation, the definitive anti-dumping duty has been extended with effect from 13 March 2013 to imports of the same product consigned from the Philippines, regardless of whether they are declared as originating in the Philippines or not.  For details, please refer to Commercial Information Circulars No. 212/2013 of 12 March 2013.
