European Union (EU)* : Imposition of a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of certain cold-rolled flat steel products originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China
Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 1185/2015 of 14 December 2015, the European Commission (the Commission) has published a regulation to impose a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of certain cold-rolled flat steel products originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China. 2.Salient points of the regulation are set out below-
| (a) Product | : |
Flat-rolled products of iron or non-alloy steel, or other alloy steel but excluding of stainless steel, of all widths, cold-rolled (cold-reduced), not clad, plated or coated and not further worked than cold-rolled (cold-reduced), but not including:
Currently falling within CN codes ex 7209 15 00 (TARIC code 7209 15 00 90), 7209 16 90, 7209 17 90, 7209 18 91, ex 7209 18 99 (TARIC code 7209 18 99 90), ex 7209 25 00 (TARIC code 7209 25 00 90), 7209 26 90, 7209 27 90, 7209 28 90, 7211 23 30, ex 7211 23 80 (TARIC codes 7211 23 80 19, 7211 23 80 95 and 7211 23 80 99), ex 7211 29 00 (TARIC codes 7211 29 00 19 and 7211 29 00 99), 7225 50 80 and 7226 92 00.

| (b) Rate of Duty | : |
16% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for a number of companies with individual duty rates from 13.8% to 14.5%).
|
| (c) Effective Date | : | 13 February 2016 (the duty will apply for six months). |
| (d) Collection of Duty | : |
The release for free circulation in the EU of the product shall be subject to the provision of a security deposit equivalent to the amount of the provisional duty.

| (e) Time Limit for Comments | : |
Interested parties may request disclosure of the essential facts and considerations on the basis of which the regulation was adopted, make their views known in writing and request to be heard by the Commission and/or the Hearing Officer within 25 days from 13 February 2016.
