Commercial Information Circular No. 992/2015

European Union (EU)* : Classification of Certain Goods in the Combined Nomenclature (CN)

The European Commission has adopted eight Regulations concerning the classification of certain goods in its commodity classification system, the Combined Nomenclature (CN). The Regulations stipulate the CN classification of puzzle books; other made-up textile articles used for supporting the cultivation of plants indoor and stimulating their growth; prepared clams; cosmetic products used for sensual massage and stimulation; products obtained from chemical reaction between or by fusion of magnesium oxide and aluminium oxide which are used in the manufacture of refractory bricks and tiles used in the steel industry; mop heads; dietary supplements; as well as portable automatic data-processing machines to ensure uniform application of the CN by Member States' customs authorities.
