Commercial Information Circular No. 741/2015

European Union (EU)* : Energy Labelling of Solid Fuel Boilers and Packages of a Solid Fuel Boiler, Supplementary Heaters, Temperature Controls and Solar Devices

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 739/2015 dated 29 July 2015, the European Commission has adopted a Regulation concerning the energy labelling of solid fuel boilers and packages of a solid fuel boiler, supplementary heaters, temperature controls and solar devices. DETAILS

2.The Regulation establishes requirements for the energy labelling of and the provisional of supplementary product information on solid fuel boilers with a rated heat output of 70 kW or less and packages of a solid fuel boiler with a rated heat output of 70 kW or less, supplementary heaters, temperature controls and solar devices. However, it shall not apply to products listed in Article 1(2) of the Regulation.

3.The responsibilities of suppliers placing solid fuel boilers or packages of a solid fuel boilers, supplementary heaters, temperature controls and solar devices on the market or putting them into service are set out in Article 3 with respective applicable dates. The dealers placing the above-mentioned products on the market shall observe the requirements set out in Article 4 of the Regulation. To allow those suppliers and dealers to have time to adapt to the responsibilities under the Regulation, unless some provisions specified, the Regulation shall apply from 1 April 2017.
