Dear Sirs,

Commercial Information Circular No. 424/2015

European Union (EU)* : Amendment to council implementing regulation imposing a definitive anti-dumping duty and collecting definitively the provisional duty imposed on imports of ceramic tiles originating in the Mainland of China

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 553/2011 of 15 September 2011, the European Commission (the Commission) has published an implementing regulation to amend the Council Implementing Regulation (the original Regulation) imposing a definitive anti-dumping duty and collecting definitively the provisional duty imposed on imports of ceramic tiles originating in the Mainland of China, by adding a company to the list of cooperating producers attributed a 30.6% duty. The implementing regulation can be accessed through the following link: http://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/PDF/?uri=OJ:JOL_2015_124_R_0003&from=EN.

DETAILS

2. An exporter producer from the Mainland of China claimed, with a questionnaire reply and supporting evidence, that it should be granted the duty applicable to cooperating producers, i.e. 30.6%.  Having examined the evidence, the Commission concluded that the producer fulfilled the criteria in the original Regulation and should therefore be attributed the duty of 30.6%.

3. The amending implementing regulation shall enter into force on 21 May 2015.

BACKGROUND

4.Definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of ceramic tiles originating in the Mainland of China has been imposed since 16 September 2011.  The current duty in force is 69.7% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for a number of companies whose individual duty rates range from 13.9% to 36.5%).
