Commercial Information Circular No. 362/2015

European Union (EU) * : Imposition of a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of certain grain-oriented flat-rolled products of silicon-electrical steel originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 750/2014 of 15 August 2014, the European Commission (the Commission) has published a regulation to impose a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of certain grain-oriented flat-rolled products of silicon-electrical steel originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China. The regulation can be accessed through the following link:

DETAILS

2.Salient points are set out below-

(a) Product : Grain-oriented flat-rolled products of silicon-electrical steel, of a thickness of more than 0.16 mm, currently falling within CN codes ex 7225 11 00 and ex 7226 11 00 (TARIC codes 7225 11 00 10, 7226 11 00 11 and 7226 11 00 91)
(b) Rate of Duty :
28.7% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (including the individual duty rate for two companies at 28.7%)
(c) Effective Date :
14 May 2015 (the duty will apply for 6 months)
(d) Collection of Duty : The release for free circulation in the Union of the product shall be subject to the provision of a security, equivalent to the amount of the provisional duty.
(e) Time Limit for Comments : Interested parties may request disclosure of the essential facts and considerations on the basis of which the regulation was adopted, make their views known in writing and apply to be heard by the Commission within 25 days from 14 May 2015.
