Commercial Information Circular No. 132/2015

European Union (EU)* : Regulations on Plastic Materials and Articles Intended to Come into Contact with Foodstuffs

Further to our Commercial Information Circular No. 246/2014 of 17 March 2014, the European Commission (the Commission) has adopted a Regulation to amend and correct Regulation (EU) No 10/2011 concerning plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with food.  Details are set out in the Commission Regulation (EU) No. 2015/174, which can be accessed through the following link:

2.In order to limit the administrative burden to business operators, plastic materials and articles which do not comply with this Regulation but have been lawfully placed on the market before 26 February 2015 may continue to be placed on the market until 26 February 2016.
