Commercial Information Circular No. 1031/2015

European Union (EU)* : Imposition of a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of acesulfame potassium originating in the Mainland of China

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 429/2015 of 22 May 2015, the European Commission (the Commission) has published an implementing regulation to impose a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of acesulfame potassium originating in the Mainland of China. DETAILS

2.Salient points are set out below-

(a) Product :
Acesulfame potassium (potassium salt of 6-methyl- 1,2,3-oxathiazin-4(3H)-one 2,2-dioxide; CAS RN 55589-62-3) originating in the Mainland of China, currently falling within CN code ex 2934 99 90 (TARIC code 2934 99 90 21).
(b) Rate of Duty :
EUR 4.58 per kg net product weight (except for a number of companies whose applicable amounts of duty ranging from EUR 2.64 to EUR 4.58 per kg net product weight).
(c) Effective Date :
1 November 2015
(d) Duration : 5 years
(e) Collection of Duty : The amounts secured by way of the provisional anti-dumping duty imposed by the Commission with effect from 22 May 2015 shall be definitively collected, except those levied on acesulfame potassium originating in the Mainland of China contained in certain preparations and/or mixtures.
