Commercial Information Circular No. 1015/2015

European Union (EU)* : Imposition of a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of certain grain-oriented flat-rolled products of silicon-electrical steel originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 362/2015 of 14 May 2015, the European Commission (the Commission) has published an implementing regulation to impose a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of certain grain-oriented flat-rolled products of silicon-electrical steel originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China. DETAILS

2.Salient points are set out below-

(a) Product :
Grain-oriented flat-rolled products of silicon-electrical steel, of a thickness of more than 0.16 mm, currently falling within CN codes ex 7225 11 00 (TARIC Codes 7225 11 00 11, 7225 11 00 15 and 7225 11 00 19) and ex 7226 11 00 (TARIC codes 7226 11 00 12, 7226 11 00 14, 7226 11 00 16, 7226 11 00 92, 7226 11 00 94 and 7226 11 00 96).
(b) Rate of Duty :
36.6% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for a number of companies whose individual duty rates range from 21.5% to 36.6%).
(c) Effective Date :
31 October 2015
(d) Duration : 5 years
(e)  Collection of Duty :
The amounts secured by way of the provisional anti-dumping duty imposed by the Commission with effect from 14 May 2015 shall be released.
