European Union (EU) * : Impending Expiry of Anti-dumping Measures on Imports of Certain Molybdenum Wires Originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 741/2013 of 12 September 2013, the European Commission has published a notice concerning the impending expiry of the anti-dumping measures on imports of certain molybdenum wires originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China. DETAILS

2.Definitive anti-dumping duties on imports of molybdenum wires, containing by weight at least 99.95% of molybdenum, of which the maximum cross-sectional dimension exceeds 1.35 mm but does not exceed 4.0 mm, originating in the Mainland of China have been imposed since 17 June 2010. The current rate of duty is 64.3% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty. Consequent to two separate circumvention investigations, the definitive anti-dumping duty has been extended from 13 January 2012 to imports of the same products consigned from Malaysia, regardless of whether they are declared as originating in Malaysia or not; and from 13 September 2013 to imports of molybdenum wires, containing by weight at least 97% of molybdenum, of which the maximum cross-sectional dimension exceeds 1.35 mm but does not exceed 4.0 mm, originating in the Mainland of China.

3.Unless a review is initiated in accordance with the procedure set out in section 2 of the notice, the anti-dumping duty will expire at mid-night of 17 June 2015.
