European Union (EU)* : Classification of Certain Goods in the Combined Nomenclature (CN)

The European Commission (the Commission) has adopted nine Regulations concerning the classification of certain goods in its commodity classification system, the Combined Nomenclature (CN). The Regulations stipulate the CN classification of boxes of steel with closing systems and handles; silicon products used with screw-on caps with lids to prevent semi-liquid substances flowing out of bottles; beach rake machines for cleaning sand beaches; plastic containers used as mood light; gel for washing skins and hairs; food supplements for human consumption; bags containing frozen fruits in pieces ready to be blended in blenders; products used to rinse eyes in case of emergency in order to remove foreign bodies and chemicals and to neutralise acids and alkalis from the eyes; as well as blocks of dried pre-cooked noodles to ensure uniform application of the CN by Member States' customs authorities.
