Dear Sirs,

Commercial Information Circular No. 435/2014

European Union (EU)* : Termination of the Anti-dumping Proceeding on Imports of Agglomerated Stone Originating in the Mainland of China

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 511/2013 of 28 June 2013, the European Commission (the Commission) has promulgated an implementing decision to terminate the anti-dumping proceeding concerning imports of agglomerated stone originating in the Mainland of China. The implementing decision can be accessed through the following link:
http://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/PDF/?uri=OJ:JOL_2014_138_R_0020&from=EN.

DETAILS

2.The Commission initiated in June 2013 an anti-dumping proceeding concerning imports of agglomerated stone originating in the Mainland of China following a complaint lodged by A.St.A Europe on behalf of Union producers representing more than 25% of the total Union production of agglomerated stone. The complaint was said to contain prima facie evidence of dumping of the concerned product and of resulting material injury that was sufficient to justify the initiation.

3.By a letter of 18 February 2014 addressed to the Commission, A.St.A Europe withdrew its complaint. As the investigation has not brought to light any considerations showing that termination of the proceeding would not be in the Union interest, and having given interested parties an opportunity to comment, the Commission has adopted the implementing decision to terminate the anti-dumping proceeding with effect from 14 May 2014.
