Commercial Information Circular No. 733/2013

European Union (EU)* : Energy Labelling of Space Heaters and Combination Heaters

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 576/2013 dated 19 July 2013, the European Commission (the Commission) has adopted a Regulation concerning the energy labelling of space heaters; combination heaters; packages of space heater, temperature control and solar device; as well as packages of combination heater, temperature control and solar device. Details are set out in Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No 811/2013 (the Regulation), which can be accessed through the following link:

DETAILS

2.The Regulation establishes requirements for the energy labeling and the provision of supplementary product information for space heaters, combination heaters and packages of such heaters in combination with temperature controls and solar devices, with a rated heat output not more than 70 kW. However, it shall not apply to products listed in Article 1(2) of the Regulation.

3.From 26 September 2015, suppliers placing the above-mentioned products on the market have to carry out the responsibilities as set out in Article 3 of the Regulation. As for dealers, their respective responsibilities could be found in Article 4 of the Regulation.
