European Union (EU) * : Results of an Expiry Review of the Anti-dumping Measures on Imports of Peroxosulphates (Persulphates) Originating in the Mainland of China

Further to the Commercial Information Circular No 809/2012 of 10 October 2012, the Council of the EU has published an implementing regulation to maintain the definitive anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of peroxosulphates (persulphates) originating in the Mainland of China following an expiry review. DETAILS

2.Salient points are set out below-

(a) Product :
Peroxosulphates (persulphates), including potassium peroxymonosulphate sulphate currently falling within CN codes 2833 40 00 and ex 2842 90 80 (TARIC code 2842 90 80 20) and originating in the Mainland of China
(b) Rate of Duty :
71.8% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for two companies whose individual rates are 0% and 24.5% respectively).
(c) Effective Date :
18 December 2013
(d) Duration : 5 years

BACKGROUND

3.Definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of peroxosulphates (persulphates) originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China has been imposed since 12 October 2007. The current rate of duty is 71.8% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for 2 companies whose individual duty rates are 0% and 24.5% respectively). Following an expiry review initiated by the European Commission on 10 October 2012, the definitive anti-dumping duty is maintained for imports of peroxosulphates (persulphates) originating in the Mainland of China for five years with effect from 18 December 2013.
