Dear Sirs,

Commercial Information Circular No. 362/2012

European Union (EU)* : Termination of the Anti-dumping Proceeding on Imports of Certain Woven and/or Stitched Glass Fibre Fabrics Originating in the Mainland of China

Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 449/2011 of 28 July 2011, the European Commission (the Commission) has published a decision to terminate the anti-dumping proceeding concerning imports of certain woven and/or stitched glass fibre fabrics originating in the Mainland of China. The decision can be accessed through the following link :
http://eur-lex.europa.eu/LexUriServ/LexUriServ.do?uri=OJ:L:2012:131:0007:0008:EN:PDF.

DETAILS

2.The Commission initiated the anti-dumping proceeding on 28 July 2011 on the basis of a complaint lodged by the Glass Fibre Fabrics Defence Coalition ('the complainant') containing prima facie evidence of the existence of dumping and of material injury resulting therefrom.

3.By a letter of 12 March 2012 to the Commission, the complainant withdrew its complaint. As investigation had not brought to light any considerations showing that such termination would be against the Union interest, the Commission considered that the present proceeding should be terminated. Taking into account comments received from interested party, the Commission concludes that the anti-dumping proceeding concerning imports of certain woven and/or stitched glass fibre fabrics originating in the Mainland of China should be terminated.
