Commercial Information Circular No. 344/2012

European Union (EU)* : Imposition of a Provisional Anti-dumping Duty on Imports of Aluminium Radiators Originating in the Mainland of China

Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 489/2011 of 12 August 2011, the European Commission (the Commission) has published a regulation (the Regulation) to impose a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of aluminium radiators originating in the Mainland of China. The Regulation can be accessed through the following link:

DETAILS

2.Salient points are set out below -

(a) Product : Aluminium radiators and elements or sections of which such radiator is composed, whether or not such elements or sections are assembled in blocks, excluding radiators and elements and sections thereof of the electrical type, currently falling within CN codes ex 7615 10 10, ex 7615 10 90, ex 7616 99 10 and ex 7616 99 90 (TARIC codes 7615 10 10 10, 7615 10 90 10, 7616 99 10 91, 7616 99 90 01 and 7616 99 90 91).
(b) Rate of Duty : 61.4% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for a number of companies whose individual duty rates range from 12.6% to 56.2%).
(c) Effective Date : 12 May 2012 (the duty will apply for 6 months).
(d) Collection of
Duty
: The release for free circulation in the Union of the product shall be subject to the provision of a security, equivalent to the amount of the provisional duty.
(e) Time Limit for Comments : Interested parties may request disclosure of the essential facts and considerations on the basis of which the Regulation was adopted, make their views known in writing and apply to be heard orally by the Commission within one month from 12 May 2012.
