European Union (EU)* : Imposition of a Definitive Anti-dumping Duty on Imports of Certain Seamless Pipes and Tubes of Stainless Steel Originating in the Mainland of China
Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 374/2011 of 29 June 2011, the Council of the EU has published a regulation to impose a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of certain seamless pipes and tubes of stainless steel originating in the Mainland of China. 2. Salient points are set out below -
| (a) Product | : | Seamless pipes and tubes of stainless steel (excluding such pipes and tubes with attached fittings suitable for conducting gases or liquids for use in civil aircraft), currently falling within CN codes 7304 11 00, 7304 22 00, 7304 24 00, ex 7304 41 00, 7304 49 10, ex 7304 49 93, ex 7304 49 95, ex 7304 49 99 and ex 7304 90 00 (TARIC codes 7304 41 00 90, 7304 49 93 90, 7304 49 95 90, 7304 49 99 90 and 7304 90 00 91). |
| (b) Rate of Duty | : | 71.9% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for a number of companies whose individual duty rates range from 48.3% to 71.9%). |
| (c) Effective Date | : | 21 December 2011 |
| (d) Duration | : | 5 years |

(e) Collection of Duty |
: | The amounts secured by way of provisional anti-dumping duties on imports of seamless pipes and tubes of stainless steel (excluding such pipes and tubes with attached fittings suitable for conducting gases or liquids for use in civil aircraft), currently falling within CN codes 7304 11 00, 7304 22 00, 7304 24 00, ex 7304 41 00, 7304 49 10, ex 7304 49 93, ex 7304 49 95, ex 7304 49 99 and ex 7304 90 00 shall be definitively collected. |
