Commercial Information Circular No. 651/2011
European Union (EU)* : Imposition of Provisional Anti-dumping Duty on Imports of Oxalic Acid Originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China
Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 66/2011 of 26 January 2011, the European Commission (the Commission) has published a regulation (the Regulation) to impose a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of oxalic acid originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China. DETAILS
2. Salient points are set out below –
(a) Product | : | Oxalic acid, whether in dihydrate (CUS number 0028635-1 and CAS number 6153-56-6) or anhydrous form (CUS number 0021238-4 and CAS number 144-62-7) and whether or not in aqueous solution, currently falling within CN code ex 2917 11 00 (TARIC code 2917 11 00 91). |
(b) Rate of Duty | : | 52.2% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for three companies whose individual duty rates range from 14.6% to 37.7%). |
(c) Effective Date | : | 21 October 2011 (the duty will apply for 6 months). |
(d) Collection of Duty | : | The release of the product for free circulation in the Union shall be subject to the provision of a security equivalent to the amount of the provisional duty. |
(e) Time Limit for Comments | : | Interested parties may request disclosure of the essential facts and considerations on the basis of which the Regulation was adopted, make their views known in writing and apply to be heard orally by the Commission within one month from 21 October 2011. |
