European Union (EU)* : Imposition of a Definitive Anti-dumping Duty on Imports of Ceramic Tiles Originating in the Mainland of China
Further to the Commercial Information Circulars No. 173/2011 of 17 March 2011 and No. 315/2011 of 31 May 2011, the Council of the EU has published a regulation to impose a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of ceramic tiles originating in the Mainland of China. DETAILS
2. Salient points are set out below -
(a) Product | : | Glazed and unglazed ceramic flags and paving, hearth or wall tiles; glazed and unglazed ceramic mosaic cubes and the like, whether or not on a backing, currently falling within CN codes 6907 10 00, 6907 90 20, 6907 90 80, 6908 10 00, 6908 90 11, 6908 90 20, 6908 90 31, 6908 90 51, 6908 90 91, 6908 90 93 and 6908 90 99. |
(b) Rate of Duty | : | 69.7% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for a number of companies whose individual duty rates range from 26.3% to 36.5%). |
(c) Effective Date | : | 16 September 2011 |
(d) Duration | : | 5 years |
(e) Collection of Duty | : |
Amounts secured by way of provisional anti-dumping duties on imports of ceramic tiles currently falling within CN codes 6907 10 00, 6907 90 20, 6907 90 80, 6908 10 00, 6908 90 11, 6908 90 20, 6908 90 31, 6908 90 51, 6908 90 91, 6908 90 93 and 6908 90 99 shall be definitively collected. The amounts secured in excess of the amount of the definitive anti-dumping duties shall be released. |
