European Union (EU)* : Imposition of Provisional Anti-dumping Duty on Imports of Certain Seamless Pipes and Tubes of Stainless Steel Originating in the Mainland of China
Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 442/2010 of 30 September 2010, the European Commission has published a regulation to impose a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of certain seamless pipes and tubes of stainless steel originating in the Mainland of China. DETAILS
2. Salient points are set out below -
(a) Product | : | Certain seamless pipes and tubes of stainless steel, other than with attached fittings suitable for conducting gases or liquids for use in civil aircraft, currently falling within CN codes 7304 11 00, 7304 22 00, 7304 24 00, ex 7304 41 00, 7304 49 10, ex 7304 49 93, ex 7304 49 95, ex 7304 49 99 and ex 7304 90 00 (TARIC codes 7304 41 00 90, 7304 49 93 90, 7304 49 95 90, 7304 49 99 90 and 7304 90 00 91). |
(b) Rate of Duty | : | 71.5% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for a number of companies whose individual duty rates range from 48.0% to 71.5%). |
(c) Effective Date | : | 30 June 2011 (the duty will apply for 6 months). |
(d) Collection of Duty | : | The release of the product for free circulation in the Union shall be subject to the provision of a security, equivalent to the amount of the provisional duty. |
(e) Time Limit for Comments | : | Interested parties may request disclosure of the essential facts and considerations on the basis of which the regulation was adopted, make their views known in writing and apply to be heard orally by the Commission within one month from 30 June 2011. |
