European Union (EU)* : Imposition of a Definitive Anti-dumping Duty on Imports of Melamine Originating in the Mainland of China
Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 526/2010 of 16 November 2010, the Council of the EU has published a regulation to impose a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of melamine originating in the Mainland of China. DETAILS
2. Salient points are set out below –
(a) Product | : | Melamine, currently falling within CN code 2933 61 00. |
(b) Rate of Duty | : | EUR 415 per tonne net product weight (except for three companies whose duties shall be the difference between the minimum import price of EUR 1,153 per tonne net product weight and the net, free-at-Union-frontier price, before duty, in all cases where the latter is less than the minimum import price). |
(c) Effective Date | : | 14 May 2011 |
(d) Duration | : | 5 years |
(e) Collection of Duty | : | Amounts secured by way of the provisional anti-dumping duty imposed on imports of the product concerned since 17 November 2010 shall be definitively collected. The amounts secured in excess of the amount of the definitive anti-dumping duties shall be released. Where the definitive duties are higher than the provisional duties, only the amounts secured at the level of the provisional duties shall be definitively collected. |
