European Union (EU)* : Imposition of Provisional Anti-dumping Duty on Imports of Ceramic Tiles Originating in the Mainland of China
Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 289/2010 of 21 June 2010, the European Commission has published a regulation to impose a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of ceramic tiles originating in the Mainland of China. DETAILS
2. Salient points are set out below –
(a) Product | : | Glazed and unglazed ceramic flags and paving, hearth or wall tiles; glazed and unglazed ceramic mosaic cubes and the like, whether or not on a backing, currently falling within CN codes 6907 10 00, 6907 90 20, 6907 90 80, 6908 10 00, 6908 90 11, 6908 90 20, 6908 90 31, 6908 90 51, 6908 90 91, 6908 90 93 and 6908 90 99. |
(b) Rate of Duty | : | 73% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for a number of companies whose individual duty rates range from 26.2% to 36.6%). |
(c) Effective Date | : | 18 March 2011 (the duty will apply for 6 months). |
(d) Collection of Duty | : | The release of the product for free circulation in the Union shall be subject to the provision of a security equivalent to the amount of the provisional duty. |
(e) Time Limit for Comments | : | Interested parties may request disclosure of the essential facts and considerations on the basis of which the regulation was adopted, make their views known in writing and apply to be heard orally by the Commission within one month from 18 March 2011. |
