Commercial Information Circular No. 451/2010

European Union (EU)* : Public Consultation on Reports Proposing Restrictions under REACH

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 392/2010 of 2 September 2010, the European Chemical Agency (ECHA) is now conducting a public consultation on the proposals and the restriction reports proposing to restrict mercury in several measuring devices that are used in industrial and professional settings, as well as restrict five phenylmercury substances. Information on the restriction reports and details of the consultation are available at the press release ECHA/PR/10/18 issued by the ECHA and the relevant consultation webpage, which can be accessed through the following links respectively :

  2. All interested parties are invited to submit comments and information on the restriction reports. The deadline for the public consultation is 24 March 2011, though the Rapporteurs of the ECHA Committees for Risk Assessment and Socio-Economic Analysis would appreciate receiving comments by 24 December 2010 to assist them in the detailed discussion of the restriction proposal in January 2011. Comments and information can be submitted through the above consultation webpage.
