European Union (EU)* : Imposition of Provisional Anti-dumping Duty on Imports of High Tenacity Yarn of Polyesters Originating in the Mainland of China
Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 464/2009 of 8 September 2009, the European Commission (the Commission) has published a regulation to impose a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of high tenacity yarn of polyesters originating in the Mainland of China. DETAILS
- Salient points are set out below-
(a) Product Coverage | : | High tenacity yarn of polyesters (other than sewing thread), not put up for retail sale, including monofilament of less than 67 decitex originating in the Mainland of China, currently falling within CN codes 5402 20 00. |
(b) Rate of Duty | : | 9.3% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for eleven companies with individual duty rates ranging from 0% to 9.3%). |
(c) Effective Date | : | 3 June 2010 (the duty will apply for 6 months). |
(d) Collection of Duty | : | The release of the product for free circulation in the Union shall be subject to the provision of a security equivalent to the amount of provisional duty. |
(e) Time Limit for Comments | : | Interested parties may request disclosure of the essential facts and considerations on the basis of which the regulation was adopted, make their views known in writing and apply to be heard by the Commission within one month from 3 June 2010. |
