European Union (EU)* : Imposition of Provisional Anti-dumping Duty on Imports of Certain Aluminium Road Wheels Originating in the Mainland of China
Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 417/2009 of 13 August 2009, the European Commission has published a regulation to impose a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of certain aluminium road wheels originating in the Mainland of China. Salient points are set out below –
(a) Product | : | Aluminium road wheels of the motor vehicles of CN headings 8701 to 8705, whether or not with their accessories and whether or not fitted with tyres, currently falling within CN codes ex 8708 70 10 and ex 8708 70 50 (TARIC codes 8708 70 10 10 and 8708 70 50 10). |
(b) Rate of Duty | : | 20.6% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty. |
(c) Effective Date | : | 12 May 2010 (the duty will apply for 6 months). |
(d) Collection of Duty | : | The release of the product for free circulation in the Union shall be subject to the provision of a security equivalent to the amount of the provisional duty. |
(e) Time Limit for Comments | : | Interested parties may request disclosure of the essential facts and considerations on the basis of which the regulation was adopted, make their views known in writing and apply to be heard by the Commission within one month from 12 May 2010. |
