Commercial Information Circular No. 376/2006

European Union (EU) * :Impending Expiry of Anti-dumping Measures on Imports of Powdered Activated Carbon Originating in the Mainland of China

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 116/02 of 21 June 2002, the European Commission has published a notice concerning the impending expiry of the anti-dumping measures on imports of powdered activated carbon originating in the mainland of China. A copy of the notice is at Annex (pdf format) for reference.

DETAILS

  1.  
  2. Definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of powdered activated carbon originating in the mainland of China has been imposed since 6 June 1996 and extended for another five years starting from 15 June 2002 subsequent to an expiry review. The current duty in force is EUR323 per tonne.
     
  3. Unless a review is initiated in accordance with the procedure set out in section 2 of the attached notice, the anti-dumping duty will expire on 15 June 2007.
