Commercial Information Circular No. 852/2021

The Mainland of China : Notice by the Shenzhen Customs District for Reminding Import Food Enterprises to Take Note of the New Requirement that the Label of Imported Dietary Supplement or Food for Special Dietary Use Shall Not be Affixed Thereto

The Shenzhen Customs District issued a notice on 4 November 2021 to remind the import food enterprises to take note of the new requirement that the label of imported dietary supplement or food for special dietary use shall not be affixed thereto, which will take effect on 1 January 2022. According to Article 30 of the "Measures of the People's Republic of China for the Administration of Import and Export Food Safety" (to be implemented on 1 January 2022), "the label of an imported dietary supplement or food for special dietary use in Chinese must be printed on the smallest sales package, and shall not be affixed thereto".
