Commercial Information Circular No. 52/2020

India : Initiation of Second Sunset Review Investigation of Anti-Dumping Duty on Flax Fabrics originating in or exported from Hong Kong and the Mainland of China

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 538/2015 of 16 June 2015, the Indian Authority issued a notification to announce the initiation of a second sunset review investigation regarding anti-dumping duty on flax fabrics originating in or exported from Hong Kong and the Mainland of China. DETAILS

2.Salient points of India's investigation are set out below -

(a) Date of Notification : 23 December 2019
(b) Product Coverage : Flax Fabrics falling under sub-heading 5309 of India's First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, originating in or exported from Hong Kong and the Mainland of China
(c) Period of Investigation : April 2018 to June 2019 (15 Months)
(d) Submission of Information : As stated in the notification, parties concerned may submit relevant information and make their views known in writing to the Indian Authority, within thirty (30) days from the receipt of the notice by the Trade and Industry Department on 9 January 2020, i.e. to respond on or before 7 February 2020.

If no information is received within the prescribed time limit or the information received is incomplete, the Indian Authority may record its findings on the basis of the facts available on record in accordance with the Anti-Dumping Rules.
