The Ministry of Environmental Protection of the People's Republic of China (MEP) issued a notice on 19 December 2014 to promulgate the "Measures on Restriction and Suspension of Production for Regularization Implemented by Environmental Protection Authorities", which took effect on 1 January 2015.
