Dear Sirs,
Commercial Information Circular No. 432/2014
The Mainland of China : Final Ruling on Countervailing Investigation Against Imports of Solar-grade Polysilicon from the European Union
The Ministry of Commerce (MOC) issued Notice No. 26/2014 on 30 April 2014, announcing the final ruling on countervailing investigation against imports of solar-grade polysilicon from the European Union. The relevant tariff code of the product is 2804 6190, under which electronic-grade polysilicon is not covered in this investigation.
DETAILS
2.The final ruling confirmed the existence of subsidy regarding imports of solar-grade polysilicon from the European Union, and that such subsidy had caused material injury to the domestic industry. As a result, the Mainland had decided to impose countervailing duties of 1.2% on imports of solar-grade polysilicon from the European Union. The countervailing measure would be in place for 2 years from 1 May 2014. For details, please make reference to the notice issued by the MOC at:
http://www.mofcom.gov.cn/article/b/e/201404/20140400568793.shtml (Chinese version only).
