The Mainland of China : Preliminary Finding of Anti-dumping Investigation against Imports of Ethylene Glycol Monobutyl ether and Diethylene Glycol Monobutyl Ether from the United States and the European Union

The Ministry of Commerce (MOC) issued Notice No. 42/2012 on 27 July 2012, announcing the preliminary finding of the anti-dumping investigation against imports of ethylene glycol monobutyl ether and diethylene glycol monobutyl ether from the United States and the European Union. The relevant tariff code is 2909 4300.

DETAILS

2.The preliminary finding reveals that dumping existed regarding ethylene glycol monobutyl ether and diethylene glycol monobutyl ether originated in the United States and the European Union, with dumping margin ranged from 9.3% to 18.8%. It is found that such dumping had caused material injury to the domestic industry and that causal link existed. With effect from 28 July 2012, importers have to provide deposit according to the margin of dumping as guarantee to the General Administration of Customs for importation of ethylene glycol monobutyl ether and diethylene glycol monobutyl ether.

3.Interested parties may submit written representation and supporting evidence to the MOC within 20 days from the date of announcement (i.e. 27 July 2012) for their consideration. For details, please make reference to MOC’s notice at:
