Commercial Information Circular No. 398/2010

The Mainland of China : Countervailing Investigation against Imports of Potato Starch from the European Union

The Ministry of Commerce (MOC) issued Notice No. 48/2010 on 30 August 2010 announcing the initiation of a countervailing investigation against imports of potato starch from the European Union. The relevant tariff code is 1108 1300.

DETAILS

  1. For countervailing investigation, interested parties may approach the Bureau of Fair Trade for Imports and Exports to participate in the defence within 20 days from the date of the announcement (i.e. 30 August 2010). In the application, interested parties should submit information about the quantity and value of the investigated products exported to the Mainland during 1 January 2009 - 31 December 2009. For industry injury investigation, interested parties may approach the Bureau of Industry Injury Investigation to participate in the investigation within 20 days from the date of the announcement. In the application, interested parties should submit information about their manufacturing capacity, production volume, inventory level and details of any expansion plans, as well as quantity and value of the investigated products exported to the Mainland during 1 January 2007 - 31 December 2009.
