The Mainland of China : Notice Concerning the General Rules for the Examination of Production Licence for Food Additives

The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine has recently issued a notice concerning the general rules for the examination of production licence for food additives, which will take effect on 1 September 2010. The purpose of the notice is to further regulate the supervision of production of food additives. For details, please refer to a copy of the notice (available in Chinese only) at Appendix (pdf format).

For details of the "Law of the People's Republic of China on Food Safety" and its implementation regulations, please refer to CIC No. 111/2009 dated 3 March 2009 and CIC No. 380/2009 dated 27 July 2009. For details of the "Notice Concerning Certain Issues Relating to Applicable Standards for Inspections on Imports of Food and Food Additives", please refer to CIC No. 395/2009 dated 3 August 2009.
