The Mainland of China : Final Ruling on Anti-dumping Investigation Against Imports of Terephthalic Acid from the Republic of Korea and Thailand

The Ministry of Commerce (MOC) issued Notice No. 47/2010 on 12 August 2010, announcing the final ruling on anti-dumping investigation against imports of terephthalic acid from the Republic of Korea and Thailand. The relevant tariff codes are 2917 3611 and 2917 3619.

 

DETAILS

  1. The final ruling confirmed the existence of dumping regarding imports of pure terephthalic acid from the Republic of Korea and Thailand, and that such dumping had caused material injury to the domestic industry. As a result, the Mainland had decided to impose anti-dumping duties which range from 2.0% to 20.1% on imports of pure terephthalic acid with tariff code of 2917 3611 from the above regions. The anti-dumping measure would be in place for 5 years from 12 August 2010. No anti-dumping duties will be imposed on other terephthalic acid (tariff code: 2917 3619).
