The Mainland of China : Countervailing Investigation against Imports of Broiler Products from the United States 

The Ministry of Commerce (MOC) issued Notice No. 75/2009 on 27 September 2009 announcing the initiation of a countervailing investigation against imports of broiler products from the United States. The relevant tariff codes are 0207 1100, 0207 1200, 0207 1311, 0207 1319, 0207 1321, 0207 1329, 0207 1411, 0207 1419, 0207 1421, 0207 1422, 0207 1429 and 0504 0021.

For countervailing investigation, interested parties may approach the Bureau of Fair Trade for Imports and Exports to participate in the defence within 20 days from the date of the announcement (i.e. 27 September 2009). In the application, interested parties should submit information about the quantity and value of the investigated products exported to the Mainland during 1 July 2008 - 30 June 2009. For industry injury investigation, interested parties may approach the Bureau of Industry Injury Investigation to participate in the investigation within 20 days from the date of the announcement. In the application, interested parties should submit information about their manufacturing capacity, production volume, inventory level and details of any expansion plans, as well as quantity and value of the investigated products exported to the Mainland during 1 January 2006 - 30 June 2009.
