The Mainland of China : Countervailing Investigation against Imports of Grain Oriented Flat-rolled Electrical Steel from the United States

The Ministry of Commerce (MOC) issued Notice No. 41/2009 on 1 June 2009 announcing the initiation of an countervailing investigation against imports of grain oriented flat-rolled electrical steel from the United States. The relevant tariff codes are 7225 1100 and 7226 1100.

DETAILS

  1. For countervailing investigation, interested parties may approach the Bureau of Fair Trade for Imports and Exports to participate in the defence within 20 days from the date of the announcement (i.e. 1 June 2009). In the application, interested parties should submit information about the quantity and value of the investigated products exported to the Mainland during 1 March 2008 - 28 February 2009. For industry injury investigation, interested parties may approach the Bureau of Industry Injury Investigation to participate in the investigation within 20 days from the date of the announcement. In the application, interested parties should submit information about their manufacturing capacity, production volume, inventory level and details of any expansion plans, as well as quantity and value of the investigated products exported to the Mainland during 1 January 2006 - 31 March 2009.
