Commercial Information Circular No. 662/2008

The Mainland of China : Notice Concerning Increasing the Export Tax Rebate Rates for Certain Mechanical and Electrical Products

The Ministry of Finance and the State Administration of Taxation issued a notice on 29 December 2008 announcing that the export tax rebate rates for certain high-tech and high valued-added mechanical and electrical products will be increased with effect from 1 January 2009. The major adjustments include: 

  1. increasing the export tax rebate rates for inertial navigation systems used for aviation use, gyroscopes, ion ray detectors, nuclear reactors, industrial robots, etc. from 13% or 14% to 17%; and
     
  2. increasing the export tax rebate rates for motorcycles, sewing machines and electrical conductors, etc. from 11% or 13% to 14%.
