The Mainland of China : Notice Concerning Increasing the Export Tax Rebate Rates for Certain Commodities
The Ministry of Finance and the State Administration of Taxation jointly issued a notice on 21 October 2008 announcing that the export tax rebate rates for certain commodities will be increased with effect from 1 November 2008. The adjustments include:-
increasing the export tax rebate rates for certain textile articles, apparel and toys to 14 %;
increasing the export tax rebate rates for ceramic articles for daily use and ceramic art to 11%;
increasing the export tax rebate rates for certain plastic articles to 9%;
increasing the export tax rebate rates for certain furniture to 11% or 13%; and
increasing the export tax rebate rates for AIDS drugs, recombinant insulin and its salts, certain collagen, toughened safety glass, tantalum wires for capacitors, anchor chains, sewing machines, fans, carbide blades for certain machine tools, certain books, note books, etc. to 9%, 11% or 13%.
