The Mainland of China : Law on Promoting Recycle Economy of the People's Republic of China
The Eleventh Standing Committee of the National People's Congress passed on 29 August 2008 the "Law on Promoting Recycle Economy of the People's Republic of China", which will take effect from 1 January 2009. The "Law on Promoting the Recycle Economy" is formulated to promote the development of recycle economy, increase efficiency on utilizing resources, protect and improve the environment and realize sustainable development. Among which, the law sets out the relevant requirements and incentive measures for reduction of resources and waste, as well as reuse and recycle of resources during the processes of production, circulation and consumption. The "Law on Promoting Recycle Economy" is attached at Annex (pdf format) for reference.
