Dear Sirs,
Commercial Information Circular No. 450/2006
The Mainland of China : Notice Concerning Further Liberalising the Business Scope of Individually Owned Stores Set Up by Hong Kong and Macau Residents in the Mainland
According to the provisions of the "Supplement III to the Mainland and Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement (CEPA)" signed between the Mainland and Hong Kong on 27 June 2006, the Mainland will further liberalise the business scope of individually owned stores set up by Hong Kong permanent residents with Chinese citizenship in the Mainland from 1 January 2007. To ensure the smooth implementation of this measure, the Ministry of Commerce has issued a "Notice Concerning Further Liberalising the Business Scope of Individually Owned Stores Set Up by Hong Kong and Macau Residents in the Mainland" to various local offices of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce. A copy of the "Notice" is attached at Appendix (pdf format) for reference.
