The Mainland of China : Administrative Measures on the Sales
Promotion Behavior of Retailers
The Ministry of Commerce, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Public Security, the State Administration of Taxation and the State Administration for Trade and Industry have jointly promulgated the "Administrative Measures on the Sales Promotion Behavior of Retailers", which governs the sales promotion activities of retailers to attract consumers and increase sales in the Mainland. The "Measures" will be effective from 15 October 2006. Full text of the "Measures" is attached at Annex (pdf format) for reference.
